Advancing Life Foundation Marks World Humanitarian Day With $4 Million in Global Humanitarian Impact

Volunteers with the Advancing Life Foundation smile and celebrate together as they work on a project.

At the ASEA Advancing Life Foundation, we’ve seen how small, intentional acts of generosity can echo across generations. Whether it’s education, health, safety, or opportunity, your giving builds bridges where none existed before.

Foundation shines a spotlight on the way small acts of kindness can lead to extraordinary outcomes

Numbers matter because they help us understand the scale of what is possible when people work together. But behind every number is a person whose life has been changed.”
— KimMarie Larsen, Executive Director of the Advancing Life Foundation
PLEASANT GROVE, UT, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- More than $4 million in humanitarian support. 26 countries. More than 2.5 million lives impacted.

On World Humanitarian Day, the Advancing Life Foundation, ASEA’s philanthropic arm, is highlighting more than a decade of efforts to help communities combat poverty, improve access to education, protect vulnerable children and respond to humanitarian crises around the world.

Established in 2015, the Foundation has worked alongside nonprofit organizations, local communities and humanitarian partners to support initiatives ranging from clean water and food security to education, disaster response, human trafficking intervention and survivor support.

“Humanitarian work is ultimately about helping others,” said KimMarie Larsen, Chair of the ASEA Advancing Life Foundation. “World Humanitarian Day gives us an opportunity to recognize those doing this work every day and to remind ourselves that we don't have to be full-time humanitarian workers to make a difference. We can give, volunteer, advocate or simply choose to care. When those small acts of kindness come together, the impact can be extraordinary.”

The Foundation seeks to support more than immediate relief, investing in initiatives designed to help individuals and communities build greater stability and self-sufficiency over time. Through its humanitarian partnerships, Advancing Life Foundation supporters have participated in volunteer expeditions and helped create opportunity through education by constructing a vocational school in rural Ecuador that serves 125 students every year.

The Foundation has also increasingly focused on protecting vulnerable children and combating human trafficking through partnerships with organizations working directly with law enforcement and survivors. A recent partnership with The Exodus Road helped support coordinated anti-trafficking operations in Thailand. Operations have included health services for 38 survivors, legal advocacy for 24 women and life skills training for 47 participants.

“Numbers matter because they help us understand the scale of what is possible when people work together,” Larsen said. “But behind every number is a person whose life has been changed.”

World Humanitarian Day, observed annually on August 19, honors humanitarian workers and recognizes the individuals and communities affected by crises around the world. For the Advancing Life Foundation, the day also underscores the role that individuals, businesses and communities can play in addressing those challenges.

“Every individual has the opportunity to improve someone else's life,” Larsen said. “Sometimes that means traveling across the world to serve. Sometimes it means making a donation, giving a few hours of your time or helping a family in your own community. What matters is that we choose to act.”
